The training course Young social workers training young people for employment and inclusion will be held in Montijo, Portugal (near Lisbon) in April 2016. We hereby kindly invite your organization to integrate a partnership aiming at the participation of young people who develop social work in the training course we will develop to enhance their knowledge and skills for the promotion of employment and inclusion of young people.
The training course will take place in Montijo, Portugal (near Lisbon) from 10 April (arrival in the afternoon) to 19 April (departure in the morning after the breakfast) 2016.
About the training course
Young social workers training young people for employment and inclusion will gather 24 participants from 12 organisations from 12 or more programme countries.
This training of trainers aims to empower youth social workers to develop/lead quality NFE programmes on youth employment and entrepreneurship in order to fight youth unemployment and exclusion.
The project focuses on the urgency of providing critical absolutely necessary skills to young people who develop social work, to promote non-formal education spaces, where young unemployed may be able to develop skills to prevent the advance of exclusion and enhancing employability and entrepreneurship.
Objectives:
• Reflect and share realities about youth unemployment, employability, entrepreneurship and current policies to promote employment and youth entrepreneurship in Europe.
• Reflect on NFE good practices in the development of inclusion, employability and entrepreneurship of young people.
• Empowering for the active promotion of inclusion and youth employability.
• Empower young social workers to become quality youth trainers in NFE activities excluded young people and / or unemployed in our communities by strengthening the social work of youth organizations.
• Encourage the development of different educational programs aimed at empowering unemployed youth in local communities.
• Present the Erasmus + and encourage the creation of future projects with unemployed young peopleThe training course is based on the approach and principles of non-formal education and will use a lot of insights from the SALTO booklets, EU policy documents and T-kits of the Partnership programme of EU and CoE.
Language:
The language of the training course will be English.
The participants should fulfil the following criteria:
• Being young social workers, active and willing to apply and multiply the skills and knowledge developed in this course.
• Be willing to participate and develop non-formal education spaces dedicated to training young people excluded and / or unemployed for employability and entrepreneurship.Able to attend the entire duration of the course
• Able to work in English
• Age above 18
