Training course "Stoic Principles in Modern Entrepreneurship"

Call for partners for an 8-days Training course for youth workers and youth leaders coming from 8 European countries that will be organised in North Macedonia.

CET platforma Skopje is looking for partners for a project “Stoic Principles in Modern Entrepreneurship” that is planning to submit to Macedonian National Agency on 20th of February 2024 deadline. The project is envisioned as 8-days training course for youth workers and youth leaders coming from 8 European countries that will be organized in Autumn 2024 in Krushevo, North Macedonia.

N.B. Due to the new limit of partnerships in Erasmus+ programme, we can only accept partner organisations that are not already involved in 5 or more Mobility of youth workers applications (Training courses/Seminars etc.) in the February 2024 deadline.

PROJECT SUMMARY:

The aim of this project is to bring 24 youth workers from 8 different countries in order to train them to use philosophical frameworks and creative ways for entrepreneurial education as tools for combating youth unemployment.

Entrepreneurial education is essential nowadays. It provides youngsters with a holistic set of skills and mindset that prepares them for the challenges and opportunities of the modern world. The job market is evolving, and constantly changing which makes the ability to think entrepreneurially as an essential asset in navigating the dynamic and competitive job landscape. In this context, philosophy can provide a conceptual and ethical foundation for entrepreneurship, influencing how entrepreneurs approach challenges, make decisions, and contribute to society through their ventures. Philosophy and entrepreneurship may seem like distinct fields, but they share some common threads and can intersect in various ways. Successful entrepreneurs often need to navigate uncertainties, make decisions in ambiguous situations. Philosophy encourages critical thinking, the ability to analyze complex issues, and solve problems.

We see in Stoicism one of the most important empowering philosophical schools which principles can be applied to various aspects of life, including entrepreneurship. By incorporating Stoic principles into their mindset and decision-making, youngsters can develop a resilient and adaptive approach to the challenges and uncertainties inherent in business.

As the outcome of the project, the participants will create a toolbox of non-formal educational activities that aim to improve employability of young people that can be used by them, their organisations or others working with youth.
