A training course for 8 days, 18 young people, interested in participating in an EVS experience, plus 6 youth workers from different countries, coming from 6 European countries will work together in an intercultural environment, focusing on the theme of EVS and how it can be an instrument for fighting youth unemployment and providing young people with the opportunity to gain work experience by joining an EVS project.
The main objective is to train youth workers on skills and methods to increase self-awareness of EVS volunteers and to facilitate the transfer of self-awareness into marketable competencies, thus improving the youth’s chances in the job market. All the participants will share their experiences discussing how the job mobility and unemployment situation are faced in their countries and how the cooperation in the youth field and new cooperation plans and follow up projects in EVS field can be promoted and developed.
The young participants (under the guidance of experts) will work together on workshops and laboratories and they will learn how to move into the labor market and will learn useful techniques to improve their employability.
The course aims also to create a network of friendship and knowledge useful for future collaborations and to plan further steps of Youth in Action Programme.
All costs are covered except for 30% of travel costs that are covered by the participants.
Special considerations: if it’s possible, we want to involve people with fewer opportunities (ethnic minorities, youngsters with economic difficulties, young people who live in remote and rural areas etc.etc.) and especially organizations who work with EVS projects.
