Call for partners for an 8-days training course for youth workers and youth leaders coming from 8 European countries that will be organised in North Macedonia.
CET platforma Skopje is looking for partners for a project “Develop your Authentic Power” that is planning to submit to Macedonian National Agency on 1st of October 2020 deadline. The project is envisioned as 8-days training course for youth workers and youth leaders coming from 8 European countries that will be organized in summer/autumn 2021 in North Macedonia.
PROJECT SUMMARY:
The main aim of the training course is to bring together 24 young workers from 8 different countries (North Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Serbia, Greece and Turkey) and to empower them with different employability skills. We would like to achieve this goal through offering different communication and persuasion strategies and skills taken from various areas such as: stand-up comedy, improve comedy, public speaking, marketing etc.
The need is urgent. The economic crisis unleashed by the outbreak of COVID-19 is hurting economies, regardless of income level. Over the past months, all over the world, we have started to have restrictions put on public life. Countries followed the example of China: lockdowns, mobility restrictions, massive quarantine hospitals, increase in public health measures, protection of the elderly, etc. There are also limits on travel, companies are sending their workers home, and airplanes are grounded. According IMF we are witnessing the worst economic crisis since 1930s depression. Also, according a UN study 81% of the world's workforce of 3.3 billion people had had their place of work fully or partly closed because of the pandemic. The situation is bleak, but we strongly believe that by empowering the organizations with effective communications skills and strategies, we will be able to turn the fear into strength. In times of high unemployment, employers have more choice of applicants and will favor those with well-rounded employability skills.
The working methods used throughout the training course will be various non-formal educational and creative methods that will include: brainstorming, discussions, groups work, work in groups, simulations, debates, theatre, role playing, presentations and outdoor activities.
