Towards an education on territory: territory as educational support

A territory implies geographical and administrative limits, but also natural features (mountains, valleys...) and human aspects, such as political, economic, social and cultural features. Indeed, every single territorial area has been inhabited, shared and transformed.

Thus, this seminar aims:
- to underline the role of the territory's resources as a valuable educational support;
- to foster mutual exchanges of the inhabitants in the territory where the environmental education projects are taking place;
- to illustrate how to realize environmental education actions according to the territorial features.
In this way, we will meet, listen, and discuss with the local communities in order to have a clear picture of the challenges of the sustainable development within a territory. Thus, together with the local population we will make some proposals for environmental and sustainable development education projects able to respond to the challenges of the concerned territory.
