Networking event for youth workers specialized in gender and culturally sensitive youth work and prevention work for gender-based violence

Objectives:
Respect and understand cultural diversity.
Sharing expertise on youth work field on topics such as gender sensitivity, cultural sensitivity, gender norms and diversity, girls’ empowerment, boys’ vulnerability, honour related violence, sexual harassment and violence, racism, ableism, etc.
Learning about the possibilities on Erasmus+ programme for youth mobility and capacity building (youth exchanges, youth worker mobility activities)
Explore shared needs for new international projects.
Building sustainable partnerships for future co-operation
Creating concrete next steps for co-operation
Who Can Join:
This event is open to up to 50 participants (approx.. 40 % Finnish participants). The participants will be selected based on the application. This event is recommended for e.g. Youth workers, Youth project managers, Community workers, Managers in the field of youth work, Social workers, Specialists in the fields of gender-based violence, honour related violence.
Participants must:
Represent organisations that run grassroots youth work activities.
Be interested in forming new partnerships for international projects.
Be able to work in understandable English

Pre-meeting online:
Before the networking event, participants will meet online on
August 27th 2025 at 14:00 EET (UTC+2) (90 min).
This session helps you get to know the group, learn about participating organisations, and share your pre-task results to prepare for the main event.

Accommodation and food
The hosting organisers will organise and cover the accommodation from 1 Sep- 5 Sep, and cover the costs for food during the programme.
Travel reimbursement
The hosting organisers reimburse the Participant's travel expenses up to the amount and on the terms set out in Erasmus+ Programme guide. After being selected, the hosting organizer will inform the participants on the procedure to arrange the reimbursement of travel expenses.
