Erasmus+ youth exchange in Vienna promoting physical and mental health through non-formal learning, inclusion, and health awareness for young people.
Coordinated by an organisation from Austria, Together for Health is an Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchange project focusing on physical and mental health, well-being, and infectious disease prevention among young people. The project aims to equip youth with practical knowledge, skills, and attitudes that support healthy lifestyles and responsible behaviour at both individual and community levels.
The main youth exchange activity will take place in Vienna, Austria, over 8 activity days, and will involve young people from Erasmus+ Programme Countries, with a strong focus on the inclusion of participants with fewer opportunities. The project uses non-formal education methods such as interactive workshops, peer learning, group discussions, practical health-related activities, and intercultural learning.
Key topics addressed during the exchange include basic health awareness, hygiene and prevention practices, mental well-being, stress management, and healthy daily habits. Participants will actively contribute to the programme by sharing experiences, leading activities, and collaboratively developing a Health and Prevention Handbook, which will be used as a dissemination and follow-up tool at local level.
Beyond health education, the project promotes active citizenship, social responsibility, solidarity, and European values. Young people will be involved in all phases of the project—preparation, implementation, and follow-up—and will be encouraged to act as health ambassadors in their local communities after the exchange.
We are currently looking for partner organisations from Erasmus+ Programme Countries that work with young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, and have an interest in health, well-being, inclusion, or youth empowerment.
