A lack of proper sex education can lead to higher rates of teenage pregnancy and STDs. Sexual education leads to more responsible behavior and happier lives. Sexuality education is an essential but under-discussed topic among European youth. Each EU member state develops its own national policies on sexual education. There is a wide diversity of approaches to sex education across Europe. In some SEE countries, the topic is not included in school curriculums. A youth exchange can provide participants with accurate information on sexual and reproductive health and help them develop life skills.
