The main aim of the project is an innovative model for support of development (personal and professional) of young people with fewer opportunities to be developed. The model is aimed at fostering the youths’ civil activity and achieving their effective social inclusion in the society.
The innovative concept which is the base of the project is connected with the idea “the power within you!” This idea is connected with 7 basic principles for achieving effective realization in the life and social inclusion:
- Self-knowledge and self-acceptance
- Confidence in our own power and abilities
- Care about our own health (mental and physical), seeking harmony with the nature
- Understanding the interrelated nature with others, acceptance and tolerance
- Being informed and responsible with an active civil position
- Decision making skills leading to harmony with ourselves and others
These very simple principles are innovative on their own, because they are not included enough in the educational system and the counseling of youths with fewer opportunities. Through their acquiring during the training course, the participants in the project will be prepared to spread these principles among young people with fewer opportunities and thus to be supported their development, independence, civil responsibility and social inclusion.
The participants in the project will be 4 representatives of youth organizations from 7 European countries (Bulgaria, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia and Cyprus). Each of them has some experience in the work with youths with fewer opportunities. Besides these partner-organizations 6 experts will take part in the project, too (2 lecturers: from Denmark and from Cyprus, 2 trainers – from Denmark and from Bulgaria and 2 facilitators from Cyprus and Bulgaria). All of them have a big experience in the training activity and in the area of counseling
