A YE in Fethiye, Türkiye addressing gambling addiction among young people through non-formal education, peer learning and healthy lifestyle alternatives.
Gambling addiction has become an increasingly common yet underestimated challenge among young people, particularly due to the rapid spread of online betting platforms, mobile applications, and digital gaming environments. Many young people are exposed to gambling-related risks at an early age, often without adequate awareness, prevention tools, or safe spaces to openly discuss the issue.
This Erasmus+ Youth Exchange will take place in Fethiye, Muğla, Türkiye, and will bring together young people from different European countries to address gambling addiction from a preventive and educational perspective. The project will focus on understanding the psychological, social, and digital dimensions of gambling addiction, while encouraging critical thinking, self-reflection, and peer-to-peer learning.
Through non-formal education methods such as interactive workshops, simulations, group discussions, creative activities, outdoor sessions, and well-being practices, participants will explore the consequences of gambling addiction and identify healthier alternatives for coping with stress, peer pressure, and digital influence. Intercultural learning and group work will support the exchange of experiences and good practices between countries.
The project aims to raise awareness, strengthen personal resilience, and empower young people to make informed choices, while also encouraging active participation, social responsibility, and long-term impact through dissemination and follow-up activities at local level.
