The Language of Inclusion

Social inclusion passes through language and our understanding and use of words strongly affects our vision of the world and how we shape it.

The project KA105 (Youth Workers) is focussed on building the linguistic competencies to 30 youth workers across Europe to promote social inclusion in the youth sector.
The objectives of the project will be to:
- build self-awareness of how language affects other, particularly in relation to social affairs issues
- empower youth workers in being factors of change and promote a more inclusive dialogue among young people
- identify and manage conflict, particularly focussed on hate speech and discriminatory language.

The one-week mobility will take place in Dublin in November/December 2021 and will involve 6 organisations. We are currently building the partnership and we are looking for organisations that:

- have a network of volunteers as youth workers or has well established connections with local youth organisations in their area
- work with young people with social obstacles and barriers
- their main areas of work is focussed on youth and/or inclusion
