THE FUTURE 4.0

Sakarya University of Bir-ARK Technology Team which coordinate and execute technical education and workshops for university student groups create new technologies that aim to result in more youth-based groups that work towards creation of commercial products and services. The project will take place in Turkey from the 16th to the 22th of February. It will involve 14 participants from 2 countries.

Before the obstacles that the UN will face in the years toward 2020, the view of youth groups of this strategy should be improved. That is why we aim for teens from different cultures to gain awareness about Europe and the world through our project The Future 4.0.

Industry 4.0 which is known as the project about “automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies, includes cyber-physical systems, cloud computing and smart factory”. Our project will be about the youth’s existing views on the fourth industrial revolution, starting with Industry 1.0 to 4.0, seminars will be interactive with student involvement to the discussion of the sub-topics of culture and education and then will be supported with workshops which include basic programming, digital boards, motors, Arduino tutorials and technical tours and outings which will help the participants see their classes and education in practice which will then evolve into engineering and mathematical fields. Robotics, smart sensors, cloud based computing, algorithms, cyber security, IoT (internet of things) and many more subjects will be covered in their primary and basic forms as education. Also the students will be able to put their learned skills into practice with the unmanned vehicles workshop where they will create a unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) and a robotic arm which will help them understand their work on a physical and tangible format. The students will gain awareness about the country they live in, the correlation with the future of Europe and Turkey, their education and culture levels and their position in this advancement. After the project, the students with the workshops they have been in, the education they have been given and the outings they participated in will leave as individuals with knowledge about the digital community, education, culture and industry with awareness about sustainability and inclusivity.

The participants will also be able to apply their knowledge of the fourth industry revolution into their local work environment and use their experience and the knowledge that will give them an edge in the competitive environment into socio-cultural cooperation.
