“The film as a weapon against social discrimination”

"The film as a weapon against s.discrimination" is a youth exchange event that brings together 30 young actors from 6 countries of Europe to make a short film.

“The film as a weapon against social discrimination” is a youth exchange event. The project aims to tackle and fight the big problem of discrimination in our societies through the 7th art. The youth exchange desires to gather thirty young people (especially unemployed actors) from six different countries of Europe for a week in Cyprus, in order to compound their creativity to produce a short film against social discrimination. The participants will have the responsibility of developing the whole film from the start to the end (writing the scripts, create and allocate roles, edit the scenes, etc.) by using their knowledge and expressing their inner world. Local film directors will help to coordinate the project, but the last word will always belong to the participants. Also in the project will be used techniques of non-formal learning with young people.
