THE BOND

We are planning introducing project THE BOND in Erasmus+ Programme, which main aim is experience exchange in a field supporting teenage mothers, young pregnant women and girls who decide to give birth and raise their children.

We are planning 2-year project consisting of:
- 2 project meetings (opening and ending project),
- min. two trainings for youth workers on the basis of experience of partner organisations (lasting ca. 5-6 days),
- job shadowing in every partner organisation for youth workers and study visits (number of participants and number of activities depend on number of partners and agreement between them).

Financing: Erasmus+ programme covers 100% costs of the project within lump sums (detailed sums you can find here: http://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/sites/erasmusplus/files/files/resources/erasmus-plus-programme-guide_en.pdf, page 131-136).

The role of partner organisations is managing the project, organising and taking part in a.m. activities.

We believe that every partner organisation can benefit from it.

Experience of partners will enable to share different approaches, methods and tools of work with teenage girls facing crisis pregnancy and motherhood.

During the project we will share our experience which we gained in our work with youth with institutional care background, having problems with criminal law, coming from dysfunctional families of origin – so our specific experience in working in specific group. Although we do not run any centre for teenage mothers in crisis, we have some experience in working with them as well as in running training houses for young people in threat of homelessness.

In 2017 Fundacja po DRUGIE is starting a built of innovate house for teenage mothers (and their children) who are in threat of dropout from school, poverty, homelessness and of separation from their children. The project is dedicated to 6 young women deprived of proper family care and support, with unsupportive partners (also facing overwhelming problems) often having experience for being abused in their homes and raised in institutions. During the project we plan to learn from your experience in order set the model of such house in our country (beginning from accommodation, by organisational issues, to tools for supporting motherhood, social inclusion and education). Existing in Poland solutions are not sufficient for needs of such group – what’s more they are often impelling mothers to resign from their motherhood against their will.
