We are currently working on a key project 1.
The project aims to create a network of international contacts to continue to expand and develop the Clown Therapy in Europe, so that associations can increase the awareness of other cultures and other countries, improving their skills and sharing the spirit of active participation in society , developing a sense of identity and of European citizenship. The association with which we are working in Italy is the Ricoclaun Onlus (www.ricoclaun.it), an association founded in 2004, made up of volunteers who have a long experience in promoting Clown therapy in various local facilities such as the "San Pio" Hospital in Vasto, the San Francesco Institute in Vasto, the family house, the prison facility in Vasto and wherever a smile is needed. They support, through distance adoptions, the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the Infant Jesus in Modelia, Bogota in Colombia and make supportive favors for every occasion.

In our project we want to develop the following activities:
1) Create network among the associations that deal with the Clown therapy and establish an exchange of best practices through visits to different entities with which the volunteers interact: hospitals, orphanages, prisons, schools, group homes, etc. ...;
2) Create before, during and after the exchange comparisons, debates, and written reports published in public online platforms;
3) Implement common training activities to mobilize new volunteers, with academic leaders in the field, which will also hold a round table in order to discuss and share the results;
4) Create an event in Vasto, high visibility in the territory during the period of December 2016, which includes the creation of a show and a conference in which the various associations will be able to employ their resources;
5) Make an e-book that summarizes the entire project.
