ProgettoIMC (International Music Class) was born to combinate music, nature, enogastronomy and culture.
Now in its seventh edition, it take place in the charming villages of Campli and Civitella del Tronto (Te) with the greatest performers on the international scene.
ProgettoIMC aims to wide young musicians horizons, increasing their knowledge and experiences, giving them the opportunity to take lessons with internationally renowned teachers in a wonderful place one step away from the National Park of Gran Sasso, surrounded by Nature, by food-and-wine culture, by the beauty of the landscape and Art.
The Masterclass will start on Aug 19th and will end on Aug. 31th 2016
ProgettoIMC teachers comes from different countries and are all well-known soloists as well as great professors.
ProgettoIMC, as in the past, focuses on chamber music: all the students are invited to play in Ensemble attending free chamber music lessons.
The particularity that characterizes ProgettoIMC and make it one of the most prestigious international Masterclass, is that Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese is a Resident Orchestra: 11 days of lessons, several tens of conducting hours with 2 pianos, over 6 rehearsal days with Orchestra, 2 final concerts: ProgettoIMC Masterclass is one of the most prestigious and complete international conducting course.
Thanks to the collaboration between ProgettoIMC Classica and Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese, best students (selected after audition), will conduct or play a concerto with 'Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese" in one of the 2 great final Concerts scheduled at the end of the MasterClass: a unique and indispensable experience
Many scholarship are offered: soloist concerts in important italian season, Sinfonica Abruzzese Orchestra offers it's scholarship consisting in one concert in the 2016 season, Center for Contemporary Music offers one scholarship durind Composition for Film Course, aso.
All the lessons are open to citizens: people of Campli can enter and hear the lesson for free, to create a link with the population
Great care is given to youth citizens of Campli and Civitella: during the year before ProgettoIMC all the pupils work on a Children Opera; when the Masterclass starts the Opera is put on and at the end a big show will take place, with children,music chamber ensemble and coreography
But that’s not all: ProgettoIMC in the evenings become “Campli Borgo della Musica”, with best student concerts, conferences, food and wine tastings, book presentations, music walks in the Nature and a lot of other cultural attractions
Is important to remember that the land of Campli is full of artistic and natural beauty: ProgettoIMC, immersed in that, is born to develop cultural tourism and to put all the land under the magnifying glass.
We organize a wide advertising campain to ionvite people to spend time in our land, to improve the quality and quantity of tourism.
But ProgettoIMC-Campli Borgo della Musica is not only music, lessons and art, but also meditation workshops, relaxation with music in wonderful caves, in archeological parks, on the top of the mountains, along the rivers or the ancient street of the Medioeval town.
