SYMPHONY OF SENSES PARTNER CALL

-WE ARE LOOKING FOR A GERMAN PARTNER-

This project is a crossroads between digital arts and disability, and between able-bodied and disabled citizens. It's a first between the Association du Centre de Beaumotte and the ExLumina art collective. The latter has developed a sensory interactive device that gives disabled people control over their environment through light, video projection and sound.

The Centre de Beaumotte would like to create a quality encounter between a group of young adults from Germany and France, and a group from a local Maison d'Accueil Spécialisée. All thanks to a fast-growing medium: digital art. This will be an opportunity for young Europeans to take stock of the situation of disability in our respective societies: sometimes its acceptance, sometimes its invisibility. Each of us will have the opportunity to put forward thought-provoking ideas and concrete solutions to the inequalities surrounding disability.

The project involves the production of a collective work, in a form to be chosen by the groups of young people. Through these meetings, we would like to contribute to strengthening human rights, in a Europe that needs to be more inclusive. These are key issues in terms of education for others and peace. An open house will allow us to disseminate the results and creations of the project to local partners and residents alike.
