Sustainable Communities and Democracy

Seminars and practical sessions to know Sólheimar EcoVillage. Sustainable environment who offers opportunities and quality of live for people with disabilities.

Goal/ Topic / Idea: the program includes lectures, group dynamic activities, practices sessions in the different workshops (candle, wood, painting, knitting and ceramic workshops) además se propone (se organizará) a trip to meet some interesting areas of the country. The goal of the program is to understand the operation of an ecological village and how people with disabilities live in that environment.
Topics of environmental interest (eco-living, organic farming, permaculture, reciclyng, ...) will be discussed. It will also discuss the coexistence of people with disabilities in the community (job options, personal development, quality of life, ...)

Participants: a group of 20 participants with ages between 19 and 30 years, really interested to take part in the workshop and to share experiences and knowledge related with the main topics.

Conditions: We provide accommodation in the guesthouses of Sólheimar and lunch at the community canteen. Excursions included in the program will be covered. All people will have free access to the pool and gym.
