Supporting/Applicant organisation for the Volunteering Project in Georgia

Organisation from Georgia (Gori) is looking for a partner organisation to apply a volunteering project (ESC) proposal for the upcoming call (23rd of February)

Our organization is not eligible to be an applicant, as it is not based in the Erasmus + programme countries. Thus, we are looking for the ESC accredited organisation from the programme countries who will be the applicant and coordinating organisation in the project.

The project is already prepared and the sending/coordinating organisation has just to submit it.

Brief Description of the project proposal:
Name: Youth for development and peace.
This project’s main aim is to bring more youth voices into local development by creating a framework that will increase the civic participation of youngsters from disadvantaged neighborhoods and mobilize youth participation in the decision-making process. Also to promote non-formal learning processes of youth, particularly of whom living in the rural areas of Gori Municipality in order to improve their key lifelong competencies to become active and successful citizens and increase their employability. This will be a positive impact on the youth by raising awareness. Volunteers will support the organisation’s ongoing works and will be involved in the processes of planning and implementing various projects and activities. Thereby, volunteers will have opportunities to improve their competencies through daily work and their learning processes will be fully supported by the staff members.
Volunteers’ main duties and responsibilities will be determined according to their interests and capacities, however, general duties will be selected from the following:
• Carry out trainings, workshops, seminars and informational meetings with local youth on the European values, freedom, equality, volunteerism, tolerance, multiculturalism, youth work and social cohesion and to work out relevant modules and programmes;
• Promote ESC programme and help youth to use existing youth mobility opportunities provided by the EU programme;
• To establish and run thematic youth clubs in the urban and rural areas of the municipality in order to develop youth’s social skills;
