Strategic EVS : looking for hosting organisations

Our association sends and hosts volunteers since 17 years. We are aware of the positive impact on the participants, the partner organisations and also on the association's team. We now wish to share our experiences with other organisations, to train the educational community and to deploy EVS in a structured way on our territory.

How can we implicate other public institutions and social association in mobility projects, so they can seize the benefit of volunteering programs for they organisations et how can we include in this programs young people with less opportunities especially thos in NEET situation who are living in the country side or the defavorised suburbs. We commit to this problem by implementing this project on our territory.

The short term objective of the project is to increase the presence of volunteeers on our terrritory and to sensibilize the educational community about the positif impact EVS can have on their professional environment. We also wish to facilitate sending young people on EVS missions by working with a network of experimented partners.

The joint objective of the EVS activities which will be deployed on our territory is to create an active place for our young adults. The dynamic brought by the volunteers is going to allow to the french youngsters to get involved in their city. This momentum will also be brought by the french volunteers returning from their EVS abroad.

In a long term we aim to :
Train youth workers in hosting volunteers
Give the necessary tools to the hosting organisations on our territory to implement mobility projects
Democratise volunteering projects in our organisations and our daily youth work and give these projects more visibility.

With this project we try to build a network of local, regional and international partners capable to pursue the development of european mobility and volunteering projects. On a local level, we will work with the local authority and different associations who will be the future hosting organisations. The project is integrated on a regional level in the work of the "regional mobility platform Normandy". Finally, we will work with international partners who defend the same education values as we are. They will work with us in the preparation of hosting and sending volunteers
