“The National Leprechaun Museum: Storytelling In LGBTQ + Youth Organizations”

The National Leprechaun Museum is currently taking part in out first Small-scale partnerships in youth (KA210-YOU).

Our aim Is to work towards a goal of making the tradition art of oral Irish storytelling, accessible to modern and diverse audiences.

We aim to do this this By introducing a series of workshops into LGBTQ+ youth centers and organizations.

We want to Introduce Storytelling as a multifunctional didactic tool among young persons education and learning. Improvement of their verbal and communication skills via Storytelling and non formal teaching approaches.

Stimulate the intercultural dialogue and inter-generational dialogue.

Improve social and cultural participation of newcomers and socially deprived groups and raise young adults’ motivation for learning.

Increase awareness of the role folklore plays in a countries history and Introduce Irish storytelling in new contexts and among new demographics.
