Stop Obesity The project includes youth work to reduce overweight and obesity in the society and create sensitivity in the society.
The project summary
With the project, to increase the knowledge of young people against overweight and obesity, to reduce unhealthy nutrition and inactivity problems, to increase social sensitivity to obesity, to create new friendships with their peers in different countries, to increase the knowledge about EU culture and social life, to improve participation in social and cultural and sports activities, foreign increasing language skills, creating more sensitivity to unhealthy nutrition and obesity in the community.
In the project; each partner will send 8 participants, 16-24 ages, and 1 group leader to the Turkey. An equal number of male and female participants are foreseen. However, positive discrimination will be applied to women according to willingness and more women will be identified.
Youth exchange to Ayaş/Ankara will be 6 days except the road, and the activities specified in the additional program will be carried out. Participants' transportation from Ankara Airport to the Ayaş, will be carried out by Porject owner.
In the morning applications; group activities, discussions, group presentations, short sketches, demonstrations onowerweiğth,obesity, caused problems,etc. Group leaders will support the daily activities. A social, cultural,sportif and site visit will be held each afternoon. Ankara castle and etnografia musiem visit, and old town Beypazarı site visits, a social nigth (folk music and traditional Ankara seymen folk dans), and a fotboal match with participants in Ayaş. Daily practices will be evaluated and developments will be recorded by group leaders. All young people will be activly join in all activities.
Dailiy Activities
Day 1:Meetings, corporate introductions, matchmaking and the formation of working groups. Participants' views on overweight, obosity and the problems they cause. Ayaş site visit,. information about historical, social and cultural structure of Ayaş.
Day 2:Group studies will be conducted on obesity factors, nutrition and inactivity problems, social and digital media addiction and obesity relationships among young people. Participants will develop ideas on these problems in groups. Group work will be presented to all groups by the representatives and discussion will be opened with each issue and opinions and opinions of the participants in other groups will be taken. Cultural sightseeing in the Ankara city, Ankara castle,Etnoğrafia museum.
Day 3: Group studies will be presented and discussed on the relationship between malnutrition and obosity, habits, social media and internet addiction. İn the afternoon Site visit to the historical town Beypazarı. Social dinner and folk music ( Bağlama resital and Ankara seymen folk dance)
Day 4:Group work will be conducted on internet and social media addiction, inactivity and obosity relationship. Sensitivity will be increased on the effects of internet and social media addiction on obesity, and new behaviors will be gained in reducing addiction. There will be a nature trip in the Ayaş İlhanköy Picnic area, sportive activities
Day 5: In order to prevent and reduce obesity, some slogans / digital documents and handbooks will be prepared and published on social media and internet. In this context, 20 new slogans, an obituary and a digital handbook,introducing the problems,will be prepared. The documents will be published in all groups mother language. Websites of partners, and social media, and the target groups,and the public will be informed. A footboal match will be held with the participation of all groups near Ayaş lake.
Day 6:Slogan and digital handbook preparation work will continue. At the end of the discussions, the agreed documents will be published on the websites and social media. Together with the participants, the project, learning outcomes and achievements will be evaluated.
Dissemination activities will be carried out by both partners. Briefings will be organized in schools and non-governmental organizations in the region.The works carried out during the project will be published on web sites, social media and supported with films and photos.
