The project ST-ENT has main aim to strengthen and foster entrepreneurship education especially promoting creation of youth enterprises in the Service industry.
The project «Sustainable Entrepreneurship for Youth» is a 1-1,5 years project that has main aim to strengthen and foster entrepreneurship education especially promoting creation of youth enterprises in the Service industry among youth including people with fewer opportunities (social, economic, geographic obstacles).
Shortly about the sustainable entrepreneurship: according to the findings by Anne Gerlach, sustainable entrepreneurship is defined as innovative behavior of single actors or organizations operating in the private business sector who are seeing environmental or social issues as a core objective and competitive advantage. Sustainable entrepreneurs identify market opportunities for innovations concerning sustainability, successfully implement these innovations and create new products or services.
In this project our main objective is to promote entrepreneurship education, including the ideas of Sustainable business and fostering entrepreneurship education, in the field of Service industry with the emphasis placed on use of both historical/cultural/natural resources of partners from Europe, North America (USA and Canada), and/or Latin America/Asia while setting up fundaments for youth enterprises among our target group through a quality training which improves youth workers professional development and therefore to transfer to youth workers innovative training methodologies to improve guidance and counseling, vocational and professional training in EU and ACPALA countries for youngsters.
The project will consist of several main actions: kick-off meeting, creating the online platform and booklet, preparation of training course for youth workers, youth exchange, a workshop for youth workers, and final meeting, as well as a series of dissemination activities in partner countries.
Partners realizing the project are expected to be NGO, education institution and business sector. Non-formal education is the tool used by this project, not only to contribute to training and improve employability, but also to promote social inclusion, tolerance, respect for diversity and non-discrimination.
The roles and responsibilities will be allocated with regard to the experience and relevant background for the best to the project and will be basically consist of:
- Participation in the necessary meetings with partners
- Research and literature review including field study (surveys and interviews)
- Contribution to the preparation of the online platform and booklet
- Participation in preparation of training course for youth workers
- Sending of youngsters for the youth exchange.
