The Partner-Finding Tool
"SPORTING CULTURE" is a 7 day Youth Exchange project, which will be organised in Turkey by gathering 42 participants from 6 countries.
This project mainly aims to use sport as a tool to support and understand the diversity of cultures and all the other differences among young people. Through the activities and the methods which will be applied in the project, the youth will explore different ways of examples of how sport can be used as a vehicle to raise awareness and solidarity of diversity among young people. It will be dealt with the effect of sport on social inclusion and learning how a person learns in our project. There will be activities and speeches about what can be the changes in positive way of individuals’ social life. It will be argued that how the sport is important for people who live in emerging society and will be found an answer for the question which is “How can the sport participation of people be increased?”.
Our aims in this project:
• To use sport as a tool to understand cultural differences
• To try to find ways to create a sport environment without violence, drugs and doping and with tolerance and empathy, in Europe
• To let the youth be active in society by participating sporting activities
• To emphasise that sport is a language of love, respect and friendship and it is –including disadvantaged and disabled people- there for all,
• To use sport to develop tolerance, dialogue and solidarity among EU programme countries and EU neighbour countries youth who are coming from different cultural backgrounds and to let the youth understand European citizenship through sport,
• To make a difference in Erasmus+ youth programs and to let more and more young people get advantage from them,
• To help developing new friendships and partnerships of participants within the project.
The participants will be between the age of 18-30 who are fully-motivated, interested in sport and culture, believe to use sport as a tool and speak English, at least at beginner level. Non-formal education techniques and methods will be employed during the whole project time. There will be 1 leader and 6 participants from each country, we will realise our project with a total of 42 people.
