SP.I.KE – Sport to Improve Knowledge of Europe between young people

The project “SP.I.KE – Sport to Improve Knowledge of Europe between young people” was elaborated considering how sport can become an important mean to favour knowledge and dialogue between young coming from different countries and social backgrounds.
The aims of the SPIKE project are the following:
- to increase sport activities between young people;
- to promote social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, especially the ones facing social and geographical obstacles;
- to promote youth initiatives, personal awareness, non-formal education and Erasmus+ programme
- to raise awareness about Sports as an integration tool which fosters social inclusion and human rights for all;
- to empower young people in the promotion of human rights and actively participating in their local communities through organizing diverse activities.
The project will involve 24 young people the possibility to meet in Viterbo inside a sports center, mainly dedicated to volleyball, to learn in 6 days of youth exchange, how to use sport inside the youth field to develop inclusion in their cities.
Through non-formal activities in an informal environment, they will learn the respect for diversity, the sense of inclusion, the meaning to fight for common objectives, to follow rules, developing their intercultural, linguistic, and digital skills to create a better Europe together.
