Songs to remember

The project involves about fifty European youngsters aged 14-17 years and from five different nationalities. The project will take place from 22 to 31 July 2016 in France, in the department of Aisne.

Through this project, youth will revive songs written during wars and will value the history and memory of locations in the area.

Activities around these themes will be organized:
- Hiking
- Visits places of memory
- Musical activities
-etc ...

The participant will produce the results of the works at the end of the stay, on a public representation.

Other activities will be to promote exchange and development of young people (visits in Paris, outdoor activities ...)

Young people must be motivated by the topic, by visiting historical sites and outdoor activities.

The preparation will be done through exchange of mails and videoconferencing for:
- Preparation of the agenda
- Establish common rules of life
- Ensure administrative management
- Organize arrivals and departures

A contribution of 120€ per participant is requested.

Composition of the team:
- A Director and an assistant will be responsible for the overall organization of the Youth Exchange.
- Each group leader must be involved in the supervision of the group and participate in the overall organization.
- Meetings will be organized to coordinate actions.
- The active participation of young people should be sought by all.

- Apply no later than: January 15, 2016

For the submission of your application, we ask for contact information and a description of your organization and to fulfill the mandate in English.
Only organizations with a PIC number will be able to apply.

Our selection criteria:
- Experience in other European projects and the motivation and ability to bring the number of youth mandated for the project.

You will be notified of your selection on January 25, 2016.
