social innovation and social entrepreneurship

It is clear that global and local many social and environmental problems can not be solved if the private sector , public sector and NGOs don’t work together.Innovation seems to major on society every year with the increasing cooperation between sectors.Social innovation not only focuses on non-profit organisations with the aim of producing social benefits or social entrepreneurship highlighting personal ability but also it envisages the production of permanent social benefits and social changes by permeabilising the borders between public institutions, businesses and NGO’s for a process leaving a lasting impact and producing social benefits.In the name of solving major problems the World is in a position more in need than ever to social innovation produced by businessmen, activists, statesmen not confined to the limits of their sectors.
Social innovation, in general is the struggle of resolving unmet social problems with innovative methods.Despite the efforts made over many years in the world, social innovation is a new concept in Turkey.It is called as dissolution process of economic, social, political, cultural and ecological issues with innovative organisation, process, policy and practices.In the solution of social problems facing our country, the concept of social innovation should be implemented with application projects, should be considered on it and discussed by universities, NGO’s, public and private sector institutions.For our country confronted with a wide range of issues, social innovation is an area that needs careful consideration and work.One of the goals and expected output of our project is to establish a center.This center will collaborate with groups, institutions and all the people in the field of social innovation in line with its own policy, value and goals in our region. It will support all ideas, initiatives and projects that will provide a sustainable and quality of life for people, society and the planet. It will produce innovative social solutions with all sections of society especially young people and will give people with new ideas the opportunity to work together with other people.
Under the project it is planned that innovative social projects will be prepared and implemented by regional-national and international public, private sector and çivil society organisations with a multilateral work that young people will be in orbit.
The main difference that separates the social innovation from others is that the main objective is to target the social innovation not to obtain financial gain.
No matter who performs the question ‘ for what purpose and for whom it will be carried out’ determines the best social innovation project.
As Giresun Province National Education Directorate we aim at establishing local, regional, national and international partnerships in our project which is based on these targets and plans.
We are planning to submit our project under the title of Erasmus+ Youth Program KEY ACTION 2(KA2) :Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices, Strategic Partnerships in the field of youth.It is envisaged that our project will last 2 years, the budget will be nearly €250-300 thousands, the number of partner country will be 3 or 4 and total number of partner will be 9 or 10.
We started the preparation works of our project which will be submitted on 4 October 2016.In this process primarily we want to identify our potential partners and then want to shape our activities by making calls and exchanging ideas with our project partners.In this context, we would like to invite you to our project as a partner organisation and we want you to help us in contact with institutions from other EU countries that you collaborated before.
