SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Social and Educational Association (A.E.S) Candelaria is located in a particularly needy of our city (Seville), devoid of both social type as educational resources. The high rate of illiteracy, as well as the high rate of unemployment makes the neighborhood a which hinders the development of the children.
For years our work has been to offer numerous activities, both of leisure activities such as training, with an objective clear: separate the boys and girls of the environments of drug and crime that both thrive in the area and, on many occasions, is presenting them as the only way of escape to the family and social reality that surrounds them.
Among others, offer sports (futsal, tennis, basketball), cultural (theatre, Cultural activities, storytelling,...), outdoor (tours, summer camps, winter outings,...), formative (kinds of) support, computer science, English, crafts) and how much specific activity required of us other neighborhood associations.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES.
Promote adequate social and personality development to the boys and girls in the area of Amate (Seville)

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES.

1 Promote imagination and creativity.
2. Encourage cooperation and teamwork.
3. Promote education in values (respect, solidarity, coexistence).
4 Promote norms of behaviour and coexistence.
5. Build the capacity of relationship with others and basic communication skills.
6. Promote reflection and critical and participative attitude.

General working methodology will be group for a better fulfilment of the objectives of the project. However, they do not excuse the possibility to work individually with children, according to the needs or the situations that they find.

The main route of access to the project of socio-educational activities will be the voluntary participation of all those boys and girls in the area who wish to, aged between 6 and 18 years old.

Activities generally take place from Monday to Friday and may be made in the time period between 16:00 and 20:00 h.

It should be noted a number of considerations for each activity. In this way, the activity of CRAFTS, it will present a model and will explain the process of preparation. Subsequently, materials will be distributed and you will assist in their realization. Depending on the craft minors be divided by groups at each table. Individual and collective crafts will be made.

For the development of the THEATRE, will choose a work and the distribution of roles. Later trials with consequent memorizing the text and finally its representation will take place. They will work with groups dynamics and knowledge of members.

PLAYING SPACE will be available to boys and girls a set of alternatives of leisure that will run in the Center facilities, and outdoor activities (in public places) on the occasions when the weather permits.

DANCE activity, will be screened at the boys and girls a choreography. First steps of the choreography will be tested separately, to then reproduce the choreography as a whole. The type of dance and choreography may be proposed by the participants in the activity, but being prepared in case there is no proposed choreography.

Finally, excursions to different places will be made on occasions. These excursions will be scheduled in the course of the project. They pretend to an excursion for month.
