SHAKE-UP: Youth Action for Resilient and Participatory Cities

Active fault lines, climate vulnerabilities, and rapid urbanization present critical challenges to cities across the Mediterranean and broader regions. "SHAKE-UP: Youth Action for Resilient and Participatory Cities" is an international Erasmus+ Youth Exchange (KA152) hosted in Gaziantep, Türkiye. The project brings together 36 young people and 4 group leaders from regions prone to natural disasters to address urban resilience, disaster preparedness, psychosocial strength, and youth inclusion in local governance. Through non-formal educational methodologies, simulation exercises, and direct engagement with local policymakers, participants will transform from passive victims of crisis into active citizens and youth ambassadors for urban safety.
