SAND

RIVE (Rete Italiana Volontariato Europeo) is a national network of Italian youth organizations promoting international mobility. The network was established in 2013 with the aim of promoting international voluntary work, youth participation, non-formal education and intercultural dialogue.
RIVE promotes European Voluntary Service as one of the most relevant opportunities to develop new skills and gain European citizenship.

The network gathers together 8 youth organizations based in different regions of Italy, all of them very active in sending volunteers abroad through EVS and other international programs.

RIVE is very focussed on quality, which means on defining minimum standards in EVS, in order to ensure good preparation, effective cooperation between sending and hosting organizations and to guarantee a positive learning process for the volunteers.

For this reason RIVE decided to apply for a seminar where the members af the network can meet other European organizations to discuss a variety of topics related to quality and to reinforce cooperation, start new partnership and plan future projects.

Main contents of the seminar are:
- sharing EVS good practices and challenges
- strategies for real inclusion
- preparation standard measures
- tools to strengthen recognition
- relationship between EVS and unployment (case studies and statistics)
- future cooperation towards strategic partnership building

Profile of participants.
We expect participants having a key role inside the organization in the implementation of EVS projects (coordinators), having at least one year experience with the program Youth / Erasmus+, we will not accept EVS volunteers or other people having a vague knowledge of EVS.

RIVE will apply to the next deadline to the Italian National Agency. In case of approval, the seminar will be hosted by Associazione VICOLOCORTO in Pesaro from the 13th to the 18th of April 2015. This call is only open to Program Countries.
