RuralIA – Une inintelligence locale au service du vivantnt

RuralIA is a pilot project to create, experiment with, and share a local, ethical and offline IA co-designed by villagers to help reorganize the rural life

RuralIA is a pilot project aiming to create, test and share a local, ethical and offline artificial intelligence system designed with and for the inhabitants of small rural villages. This AI will help organize local food production, reduce waste, enhance circular economies, support ecological transition, and foster intergenerational knowledge sharing. The project promotes cooperation between farmers, children, retired people and educators to rethink life in rural territories through a collective, creative and regenerative use of digital tools.

We believe sustainable change must emerge from the grassroots. RuralIA is a research-action experiment to prototype a reproducible local AI system based on sobriety, ethics, and social ecology — aligned with climate resilience and food sovereignty goals in Europe.

Our association is based in Moulayres (France), and we are looking for small municipalities, rural schools, NGOs and universities across Europe to co-develop and experiment together.
