Young people in rural areas often face limited access to opportunities, services and community activities, unsure how to get involved or where to find support. Distance from decision-making, lack of inclusive spaces and pressure to leave for cities can turn everyday barriers into isolation, especially for those already facing exclusion. Rural Active is a Youth Exchange that uses sport, creativity, outdoor learning and non-formal education to help young people explore active citizenship, build confidence and experience inclusion through shared community practice.
