ROOTS & ROUTES — Rural identity & food heritage for young Europeans

Youth Exchange in Southern Italy on rural identity & food heritage vs depopulation. Seeking 2 partners to send 12 youth (18–30). Summer 2027.

ROOTS & ROUTES is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange (KA152) hosted in the inner areas of Southern Italy (Valle del Sele & Alburni, within the Cilento, Vallo di Diano e Alburni National Park — cradle of the Mediterranean Diet), in summer 2027.
The exchange brings together young people from three countries around rural identity and food & wine heritage as a resource against the depopulation of inner areas — a shared European challenge. Through non-formal learning and hands-on experiences (pasta-making, olive oil and wine tasting, the Mediterranean Diet), participants explore how rural areas can be places of opportunity, not only places to leave.
We (Associazione Onde Giovani, Italy · OID E10437305) are the coordinating and hosting organisation, looking for 2 partner organisations able to send a national group of 12 young people (18–30) + 1 group leader, and to take part in preparation, activity and follow-up. Groups from rural or inner areas facing similar challenges are especially welcome.
Application deadline: 1 October 2026 · Activity: summer 2027. Interested? Write to ondegiovani19@gmail.com with a short intro to your organisation.
