Rooted Minds - Youth Exchange

A week-long rural youth exchange to connect with yourself, nature, and others, unplug from daily routine, and nurture calm, balance, and growth

This youth exchange brings together young people aged 18 to 26 from various countries for a week focused on connection, reflection, and personal growth. It will take place in the stunning Valles Pasiegos region of Cantabria, northern Spain, an area known for its green valleys, rolling hills, and charming traditional villages. This peaceful rural setting, far from urban distractions, offers an ideal environment to disconnect from screens, reduce stress, and escape the fast pace of everyday life.

The project centers on connecting with nature, with oneself, and with others, fostering presence, calm, and meaningful relationships.

The programme runs for 7 activity days plus 2 travel days, allowing participants to fully immerse themselves in meaningful experiences. Surrounded by fresh mountain air and welcoming local culture, the location inspires creativity, fosters intercultural understanding, and helps build authentic connections.

Activities include guided nature walks, creative workshops, group reflections in the mountains, and intercultural evenings to share traditions, perspectives, and ideas. The exchange also emphasizes mental health awareness, digital balance, and sustainable living, encouraging participants to develop healthier habits and adopt a more mindful lifestyle.
