Gipsy Eye Association (Romania) is looking for partners for the training course “Roma in Europe – Misperceptions and Potentials” on the place and role of Roma in contemporary Europe.
Through a programme based on non-formal education methods, the training course will explore the place of Roma culture, language, citizenship, rights, tradition and identity in today’s Europe, foster reflection on the contemporary and historical factors that influence the portrayal of Roma in European societies and its place in public debate. This TC aims to equip youth workers with relevant tools and methods to address the issue in youth work as well as to influence their attitudes towards the Roma people. This project is designed to provide democratic space for debate, reflection and development of competence on participating of youth in process of policymaking thought youth engagement, with focusing on Roma.
The main venue is Pascani, nord Est-Romania. The project duration is six days. The project will involve 5 partner promoters from programme, EECA and SEE partner countries, with four youth workers from each promoter.
The training is planned to take place in Pascani, Romania, in September. We intend to receive funding from the Romanian National Agency of the Youth in Action Programme.
