TO raise awareness about Waste treatment and create ecological alternatives for recycling waste during local events, taking part into a music festival.
BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT :
Concordia Midi-Pyrénées was created in 2015. Since that time, the staff of the association with the great support of the volunteers develop its projects in the direction of raising awareness of a more sustainable society.
In the frame of our commitment we have set up a global project called "Sustain Ability" grouping thematic projects like : food, culture, waste, consumption, education, migration,,...
So we are now presenting you the thematic project about Waste.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Dates of the project : 01/05/2018 - 31/12/2019 - Duration : 7 months
Date of the activity : From 1 to 12 of July 2019 (including the 2 days of travel)
Duration : 12 days (including the 2 days of travel)
Location : Prégnian, Gers, Occitanie, France
Submission date : 5th of february 2019
Number of partners : 4 from program countries (including Concordia)
AIM
To discover, exchange and promote alternatives in order to raise awareness and communicate with Youth about concrete solutions to face climate change during a local event.
To encourage the acc Culture for Youth with less opportunities as a tool for intercultural exchange.
DIRECT EXPECTED OUTCOMES
Specific objectives :
- To raise awareness among Youth on recycling waste issues within an intercultural perspective during a local event
- To raise awareness among Youth on the consequences of recycling waste issues within an environmental perspective
- To allow the group of Youth to experiment new tools and methods to share their experience among their peers
- To encourage Youth to take into consideration the issue of recycling waste while the will organize a event
EXCHANGE RESULTS
- Creation of a communication tool about the project
- Presentation of the activity results during the local event : Rock’nStock festival.
TARGET GROUP
Young people and Young people with less mobilities opportunities because of their geographic localization, lack of transportation, also refugees (between 18 and 30) :
- interested towards Recycling and/or organisation/animation of workshops/event, exhibitions...
- want to have a rich opportunity to have an intercultural experience
NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
5 participants from each partner including 1 group leader per partner.
ACTIVITIES
- Meeting, debates and informal moments to share with local people, organisations about Recycing Waste during a local event
- Workshops to find and create alternatives to recycle wastes
- Participation to the 2 days Festival Roch’n’Stock
- Discovery the territory through visits to local organisations
- Elaboration of a communication support related to the project
METHODOLOGY
The methodology, based on the reinforcement of non-formal education values,
workshops, debates, will encourage an active involvement of each participant. This will allow participants to be able to develop know-how and competencies on the issues related to our consumption and highlighting its impact for the sustainability of our environment.
FINANCIAL CONDITIONS
- Travel costs will be covered based on the unit costs of the program. Please note that participants will be reimbursed the real costs of their transport fees up to a certain limit as per information below.
- 100% lodging and food are covered
