Rock the Mountains 2

please no emails, partners have been found!

The aim of the project is to provide an opportunity for young people to share their talents and cultures with other project participants as well as with the local community, creating a positive environment for intercultural communication and allowing participants to learn more about different styles of music and traditions of other countries, while helping them with program activities to stimulate their musical abilities for personal development.

The project will consist of workshops on interculturality, empathy, self-expression and rehearsals for the final show: a concert for the local community of Isili that is expected to gather 200 people. The program will also include debates, group presentations, Intercultural nights, jam sessions, team-building exercises - all within participants initiative.

The method of learning will be based on non-formal education, transforming every activity into a game and interactive experience of learning. Other methods will include theatre exercises and music activities as a basis for musicians’ exchange. During 9 days young people from 6 countries will live together experiencing life of a Catalan village in Pyrenees, sharing their talents and learning from each other in a positive intercultural environment.
