RISE

Aside the issue of unemployment among young people, one other challenge is underemployment among youth-led initiatives and businesses. Both unemployment and underemployment work hand in gloves in denying young people full access to the job market, active participation in the economy, opportunities to realise their full potential and contribute to the larger economy and which manifests itself in several ways such as social insecurity and low self esteem. RISE partners will work to identify strategic market opportunities that young people can access and give them the needed training, start0up and continuous support to establish themselves. Secondly, youth-led micro, small and medium scale enterprises (MSMEs) with growth potential shall be identified and given needed training and financing of key leverage and/or lever issues that will enable these businesses grow to the next level.

We are looking at partnering with organizations in Europe and sub-Saharan Africa to implement this project.
