RISE & SPIKE empowers girls in alternative care through sport, resilience-building and European public sector cooperation.

Empowering Girls in Child Protection System trough Sport and European Cooperation

RISE & SPIKE is an Erasmus+ Sport Cooperation Partnership project designed to strengthen the wellbeing, resilience and social inclusion of girls living in alternative care systems across Europe. The project brings together public authorities responsible for child protection to develop a structured, trauma-informed sport model using volleyball as a tool for empowerment.

Beyond organizing an international tournament, the partnership will implement local pilot activities, capacity-building workshops for care professionals, and collaborative learning exchanges between institutions. The project also aims to produce practical recommendations to improve access to safe and meaningful sport opportunities for girls in care.

By combining sport, psychosocial support and institutional cooperation, RISE & SPIKE contributes to social inclusion, protection of minors in sport, mental health and capacity building of public authorities, creating sustainable impact within alternative care systems across Europe.

We are looking for 4 public institutions that will take an active role in the project implementation phases and organize local pilot activities in their countries.
