"Renewing the jewels"

The project is about design: the idea is to get together several
partners from EU and neighbouring countries (Georgia and Serbia) in order to re-design old
local jewelry in a contemporary way, getting inspiration from the past.

The project (deadline for presentation: 30th April; duration: 1 August
2014-30th November 2015) intends to resume the design of traditional
jewellery and propose it in a contemporary way with current materials,
including eco-friendly ones, in order to produce a line of artisan -
objects - design marketable on various occasions. The project aims to
introduce young people (18-25 y.o. and leaders) to techniques of
jewel-making in two steps:
1) a short study visit/training course in Piemonte region to meet local jewelers and young
handicrafters (late autumn 2014) for 3 people from each partner
organization (no age limit)
2) a youth exchange realized in order to exchange good practices and
jewels' design from the participants' countries (July 2015) (group of 6
people 18-25 y.o. + 1 group leader)
