Referee for Life

Looking for partners for a KA151 project (Youth Exchange) related to sport and refereeing

Every sport discipline or competition cannot take place without a referee. The need to ensure fair play and respect of the law of the game is crucial in order to make a sport activity attractive and inclusive. Referees and competition judges are expected to have a set of key competences in order to performe their role. Not only physical preparation, but also mental and emotional intelligence.
The goal of the project is to bring together 6 groups of young people from European countries and share 6 days of workshops and sports activities. The exchange will focus on the world of refereeing in the various sports disciplines represented by the partners and will include sporting events, games, guided tours, debates, seminars, recreational activities, etc ... Each group will be responsible for presenting an activity and sharing it with others. The exchange will end with a final event open to the public. The themes of the exchange will be in particular: promotion of healthy lifestyles, concentration in sports practice; physical and mental preparation. The project aims to promote the practice of refereeing as a different way of experiencing sport.
