Rediscovery of Historical Places

This project aims to rediscover the rich historical, artistic and cultural heritage of Europe and to increase the interest, awareness and knowledge of young people about these values. Universal values ​​such as democracy, human rights, art and science are embodied in the historical places of Europe. The most effective way to understand and internalize these values ​​is to experience these places in situ and pass them on to the younger generations. The aim of the project is to support young people in understanding the universal values ​​of Europe and integrating these values ​​into their social lives by enabling them to establish physical and emotional ties with historical places.

The Rediscovery of Historical Places will provide individuals with the opportunity to understand the meaning of cultural heritage, while at the same time creating a dialogue platform that will strengthen understanding and solidarity between societies. In this way, the process of individual awareness will turn into a sustainable effect at the social and global level. The Rediscovery of Historical Places project is designed to provide deep gains to its participants on both a personal and social level. During the project, young people will participate in awareness training on how social media and digital platform addiction reduces individuals’ interest in cultural heritage, and they will take important steps to overcome this addiction and turn to cultural values. By rediscovering historical places, participants will not only establish a connection with the past, but will also have the opportunity to better understand their own identities and roots. This process will contribute to individuals completing their search for identity, while also encouraging them to think about how cultural heritage can be interpreted in line with the needs of the modern era. Since building the future on solid foundations depends on understanding cultural heritage and interpreting it correctly, the project will guide young people in this regard.
