The main topic of this Exchange is the recovery and transmission of traditional stories, songs, dances and games. 30 participants from 6 countries.
Project idea: “RECO-OPERANDO”
The Youth Exchange will begin the 30th of June and will finish the 9th of July.
This Youth Exchange is about the recovery of our estate heritage (traditional stories, songs and games) and the comparison with the traditions from our partners’ countries.
The foreign participants will spend eight days in our village hosted in the rural youth hosted, which is owned by the Town Hall.
Project objectives:
The main goals of the project are:
1. Coexistence of young people from different countries with young and old people from our village.
2. Recovery of our estate heritage, and transmission of our culture and traditions, and know our partners’ traditions and culture.
3. Making young people aware of the importance of respecting other people’s traditions and lifestyles.
4. Interaction with old people from our village so that they can tell us how their life was.
5. Participating in a sport competition based on traditional games.
6. Nights of traditional dances with typical costumes.
7. Spending 8 days with amazing people.
Main activities:
During that week, young people of the Exchange will carry out the following activities.
- Every day, a different country will run the activities.
- They will share with the rest their traditions and lifestyle.
- Rehearse the traditional dances of each country.
- Public performance of those dances in our village.
- Trip to a couple of small near villages.
- Training and participation in the traditional games (tug of war, frog jump, wheelbarrow race, greased pole climb, etc…)
- Due to the heat, in the afternoons the participants will go to the local swimming pool for free or we might have a pool built where the participants are staying by that time.
- Farewell party.
Partners searched: 4 people plus a monitor over 18 years from 6 different countries, who are mature, responsible, proud of their culture and show respect for other cultures.
It is not compulsory to speak fluent English but it will be valued the capacity to communicate in English or Spanish.

Project period: 6 months
Other information: As each country will run the activities of one day, we will have a previous meeting (about one month before the exchange) with a responsible person from each country to prepare better all the things for the Exchange.
Besides, the participants will have the chance to meet a lot of people from our village and also they will receive the Youth pass if they take part in most of the activities.
