R.I.S.E.: Reaching Inclusion through Stage and Expression

A training course empowering youth workers to foster inclusion and solidarity through performative arts in diverse communities.

“R.I.S.E.” is a transformative training course designed, by the training team of Koukouva SCE and a theaterpedagogue, to equip youth workers with the tools needed to foster respect, acceptance, and solidarity within their communities.

Set in the vibrant city of Kalamata, Greece, this project leverages the unique power of performative arts—dance, performance, and theater—to explore and promote inclusion.

By using these art forms, which transcend cultural and linguistic barriers, participants can connect on a deeper level, fostering understanding and empathy through creative expression.

Performative arts encourage collaboration, emotional expression, and creativity, making them an ideal medium for building inclusive communities where everyone feels valued. This project emphasizes the importance of embracing diversity and cultivating a sense of belonging for all.

By the end of the program, participants will have not only enhanced their artistic skills but also strengthened their commitment to inclusion, ready to inspire and support young people in creating a more united and compassionate world.
