R.E.A.C.H. aims to strengthen the participation of young people living in rural and mountainous areas in local decision-making.
R.E.A.C.H. aims to strengthen the participation of young people living in rural and mountainous areas in local decision-making. The project will focus on issues that directly affect their daily lives, including access to outdoor and physical activities, rural mobility, winter conditions, public spaces and climate adaptation.
Young people will first consult their peers in their own communities, identify local priorities and develop realistic proposals. They will then discuss these priorities with local decision-makers, compare challenges across participating countries and jointly develop a Mountain Youth Agenda with recommendations for more youth-friendly and resilient rural communities.
The project will include local youth consultations, youth–decision maker dialogue meetings, an international youth participation event in Karayazı and follow-up meetings where decision-makers will provide feedback on young people’s proposals.
