Promotion of cultural heritage - be there/have an idea

The project is focusing on achieving knowledge, skills and participation through exploring the heritage, cultural and personal identity, tradition and customs.

We are hosting a group of young people, some 6 youngsters between 13 and 18 years old (plus one supporting person) per partner-organization, as well as the same number of young people from our side in Fazana, Istria at the Adriatic coast in early/mid September 2015.
The project entitled "Promotion of cultural heritage - be there/have an idea" is focusing on achieving the results through gaining knowledge, skills and active participation in exploring, experiencing and preserving the heritage, cultural and personal identity, tradition, originality and customs (like exercising of forgotten and/or old sport games, dances, old crafts etc.) by young people.
The goal is to make individuals and communities realize and accept the importance of cultural heritage in the process of sustainable and continuous creation of employment through enterpreneurship.
By participating in customary activities, developing a healthy relation towards traditions and building positive relations, including personal involvement in preserving cultural identity, the project aims to encourage participants to seize the opportunity for getting involved in social enterpreneurship, hence empower themselves for potential employment, innovation and sustainable development in urban and rural environments.
The methods for achieving the overall goals will be non-formal education and usage of media and communication tools.
