Promoting entrepreneurship of vulnerable young people through gamification methodologies and New Information and Communication Technologies (NICT).
The EVEHO Foundation is looking for partners for the development of an Erasmus + KA2 Project (Partnership for Cooperation in the Field of Youth) to promote the entrepreneurship of young people with fewer opportunities in Europe, through gamification experiences and New Information and Communication Technologies (NICT).
The partners involved in the project must focus their daily basis work exclusively on vulnerable young people (young people in care, in process of emancipation, with social or linguistic barriers, minorities, etc.) and must have previous experience implementing Erasmus + projects and developing gamification experiences. For the implementation of the project, the partner shall involve social/youth workers hired by the entity in the implementation of the project.
A summary of the project is presented below:
General Objective: To promote the entrepreneurship of vulnerable young people (18 – 30 years old) through gamification methodologies and New Information and Communication Technologies (NICT). In addition, through this project, resources and spaces will be provided so that the target group can present their innovative ideas on social business.
Specific Objectives (S.O.):
S.O.1.: To develop educational tools and innovative digital methodologies, promoting green entrepreneurship of vulnerable young people.
S.O.2.: To develop the competences, skills, and knowledge of young people with fewer opportunities in the field of green /social entrepreneurship.
S.O.3: To develop the competences, skills, and knowledge of youth workers in green entrepreneurship (eco-entrepreneurship).
S.O.4.: Promote the autonomy of young people with fewer opportunities, facilitating the monitoring during the development of their own initiatives and/or businesses ideas.
S.O.5.: To favour the employability of the project beneficiaries, as employees.
S.O.6.: To favour the exchange of good practices and initiatives developed in the European Union in the field of green and social entrepreneurship, among the different agents participating in the project.
Expected Project Results (Intellectual Outputs):
IO1. Gamified experience.
Through the project, a “Gamified Experience” will be created to favour the knowledge, skills, and competences of vulnerable young people to develop a social business, starting their process of job autonomy. This gamified experience will be carried out through a virtual "Escape Room", to be completed by the beneficiaries of the project. This virtual "Escape Room" will contain different rooms with interactive activities related to different fundamental themes to promote youth entrepreneurship. At the end of the videogame, the beneficiaries will acquire the necessary knowledge to start their business and will also learn more about their strengths and weaknesses. All the necessary resources and tools will be available, in detail, in the project's Toolkit.
IO2. Toolkit for entrepreneurship.
A Toolkit will be created for vulnerable young people, containing the main tools and resources to start their path to self-employment and to develop an entrepreneurial business idea. This toolkit will be transferable to any country in the European Union and will be aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda. Once the Toolkit is developed, each project partner will test the contents developed at the local level.
IO3. Bootcamp and development of the best social enterprise idea.
Bootcamp programmes for entrepreneurs enable the development of innovative business ideas, with an emphasis on innovation, development, and environmental sustainability. These are time-concentrated training events that facilitate collaborative spaces for a business idea, usually focused on the digital world, which is aligned with the ninth principle of the Global Compact (9) "Businesses should encourage the development of environmentally friendly technologies" (UN Global Compact, 2019). Furthermore, these programmes are great opportunities to connect young people with fewer opportunities, as well as professionals from different professional sectors, facilitating networking actions. The aim is to organise a Bootcamp on entrepreneurship aimed at young people in vulnerable situations. Through this Bootcamp, young people will be able to present innovative ideas for social entrepreneurship or green economy. The winnings idea will receive the support of the consortium to be presented at international level in future European projects and calls.
