Primate Conservation & Rehabilitation

Volunteers will be involved in primate welfare/rescue, primate orphan care & rehabilitation, conservation education, reforestation/forest protection, etc

There are a variety of long term projects or general activities an eco-volunteer can become involved in. Volunteers will be assigned specific duties depending upon individual experience, interest, and current openings. These will include primate welfare/rescue, primate orphan care & rehabilitation, community outreach, conservation education, human/primate conflict management, reforestation/forest protection, research, primate pest, and waste management. The volunteers work involve cleaning and feeding the monkeys, hand-rearing orphaned animals, de-snaring the local forest, planting trees, onsite maintenance, conducting pest management assessments in the nearby hotels, and to contribute to long term research projects

Volunteers will not need any prior experience as we teach them all they need to know. They will work under the close supervision of a staff member or a long term volunteer. What we ask for is commitment, enthusiasm, self-motivation, and an interest in conservation and wildlife. The volunteer will work under the close supervision of a staff member but they may sometimes be assigned duties to work independently. This will depend on their length of stay at the project and their capabilities.
