Populism, Media and the EU- Connections, Strategies and Arguments

Dive into EU challenges, populist rhetoric, and media influence to create solutions countering populist narratives on social media and strengthen democracy

In this engaging 5-day project, participants will design innovative solutions to counter populist narratives on social media. They’ll explore the EU’s role in addressing major global challenges, including climate change and rising populism, while understanding how media shapes public opinion. Through interactive workshops, discussions, and expert insights, participants will analyze the tactics of populist movements and learn how they can react to different arguments. Further, they will develop creative tools—such as social media campaigns, educational videos, or informational toolkits—to challenge misinformation and populism online. By the end, they’ll have concrete, actionable solutions to promote democratic values and fight misinformation in today’s digital world!
