PLUS One

Plus One is a training course for newcomers in project management in youth work and also for those who would like to get on board with Erasmus+ Programme.

This training course is focusing on exploring and understanding the project management cycle within the youth field. The main aim is to provide youth workers with space and tools to discover Erasmus+ youth projects and to equip them with practical tools and methods to develop their own project ideas and understand how they become capable to manage a succesful youth projects withing the framwork of Erasmus+ Programme.

Objectives of the project:
● to gain broader understanding about what project means
● to raise awerness about Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme, especially KA1: youth exchanges
● to develop skills and competences for educational project management in the field of youth
● to increase understanding about project development
● to prepare participants to create and manage their own youth projects
● to discover opportunities and support the development of new partnerships for youth exchanges

The programme is designed to enable youth workers to develop and realise their youth exhcange projects to be able to implement them after the course.
With this training course we seek to improve the level of competences and skills of youth workers, who are new in the field in order to improve the quality of their work in project management. We would like to increase their ability to work in the faramework of the project management cycle and to promote international cooperations in the youth field by giving the possibility to participants to develop their own project ideas and the raise awareness of mobility activities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme. After participation in this training course, participants will be able to work on the development of their own projects and to deliver high quality youth work.

METHODS USED:
The training course will be based on an interactive and participative approach. The processes of learning from each other and learning by doing will be crucial. The training course will stimulate creativity, risk taking and developing innovative project ideas. During the training methods of non-formal and informal education will be used, such as individual, pair and group work, creative workshops, theatre methods, simulation and situation games, problem solving and debate exercises, presentations and discussions, indoor and outdoor elements, interactive presentations, case studies, facilitated debates and discussions. Participants will get information about about Youthpass and the Erasmus+ Programme.
The trainers are Zita Szalai and Barnabás Gulyás, both are experienced youth trainers from Hungary.

TARGET GROUP:
The training is aimed at organizations from Erasmus+ YOUTH IN ACTION PROGRAMME COUNTRIES who have already registered on the Participant Portal and obtained a PIC code.
We are looking for organization who are newly established (2014 or 2015) and/or new in the Erasmus+ field.

We aim to reach youth workers between 16-35 years old from any European country who has never taken part in any Erasmus+ youth projects but are motivated to understand this programme and to develop their skills and competences in order to be capable to organize international youth exchanges.
